After every decision we make, we want to see your reactions. Like, really see. So we’re rolling out a feature called “Record Your Reaction”, which will let you  tell us what you think via webcam, a video upload, or a YouTube link.

This is just one more way we’re working to bring you into our offices and make you a part of our product development. We want the good and the bad. Click the image below to start.

    Rock With Ruthea

    By ruthea at 4:47 pm

Hey Quirksters! I am Quirky’s new Community Intern. I am so psyched to be here and I’m really excited to learn all about Quirky’s inner workings from customer service to media to, well, the whole product development process.

I’m interested in languages, marketing, business, technology, and physics. I enjoy skiing, long distance running and cycling, anything adventurous, good coffee, and large jewelry. Indie rock, electronic, hip-hop, and remixes and mashes of all of them take up the majority of the space on my little red iPod (I consider it my best friend, seeing as it is always with me)! I almost never have days when I don’t smile… I really dislike those rare, rare occasions.

    Name: Ruthea Noteware

School: NYU in the Gallatin School of Individualized Study, Class of 2014

Hometown: Tricky question, I was born in center city Philadelphia, grew up in Houston, TX, and went to high school in Bozeman, MT.

What makes me quirky? I love peanuts and/or cashews with honey atop vanilla ice cream. I have a slight obsession with owls (mostly because I think they’re wise and they make very cool jewelry pendants). Thrift store exploration is a seasonal affair for me, and I write in cursive.

    Hot Off The Press!

    By jess at 5:49 pm

As y’all probably heard, we received some pretty great press last week after news of our big raise was unveiled. Some of the reports were so effusive, we blushed! Here are some of our favorite sound bites…

Against the odds, Quirky has quickly evolved from a weird (but good) idea into a viable business.

    Fast Company

Quirky is probably the most interesting experiment in how products are designed and produced in recent memory. But when they launched, they seemed like a bold but ultimately wild-eyed idea. No more …

    Fast Company

According to Fast Company, Quirky (though initially consider a bit too “quirky” to be relevant by the business publication) has been awarded $6 million in Series A investment funding.  Not bad for the oddball company that had to prove its relevance and, even more challenging, prove that being different is still worth gambling on.

    Elephant Entrepreneur

Quirky is a platform for product ideas that are born on napkin doodles and in other unorthodox ways.

    Tech Crunch

I joined Quirky several months ago, skeptical of the concept (underwater waffle iron, anyone?) but enthusiastic about the principal. In this era of “Make” mentality, shouldn’t all our great ideas be marketable? Why should the Frog Design or IDEOs of the world be allowed to do all the fun invention and product design?

    Daily Finance

Quirky has validated the inventor in all of us and made it both fun and accessible to pitch your idea.
