We just realized that a false notification went out about an evaluation project that did not exist. This was a result of us transferring the second place winner into a brand new project. We apologize and will do our best to ensure this never happens again.

We had an amazing amount of community participation for our 1st quick & quirky event. Over 80 ideas were submitted for the ultimate apple accessory.
The winning idea was the Matthew Toghill’s stand case for the new ipod nano. Thing is, there was a kick-ass runner up product that the entire quirky in house industrial design and engineering team wanted to move forward with as well.
So what did we decide to do? We couldn’t simply let Jeff Scholen’s cord wrap idea that go so much love remain just another gadget we wish we had…So we got on phone and called Jeff himself. We asked if we could move forward with his product even though it was second place. He was pumped to let us developed his product too.
So alas, we got a little quirky ourselves here…we’re making 2 products instead of 1!
The case for the new nano will launch tomorrow by 12:45 pm as promised and we will get the cord wrap to the online store as soon as possible as well.
Red bull is on its way to our office…stay up with us everyone…time to submit names for both these products while our designers and engineers are concepting these products away.
So we’ve hit threshold on three products so far. We’re pumped about where we are…and now it’s time to kick it up a notch!
Today we are promising to develop an accessory for apple’s latest gadget in just 24 hours by leverage the participation of our existing quirky community (of kick-ass gadget ideators!) as well as sapple enthusiasts worldwide.
Idea submission will be open for just 4 hours & SUBMISSIONS WILL BE FREE. Everything else stays the same– we just move quicker. As per usual, 30 cents of every dollar generated from the sale of this product will go back to all influencers.

The approximate schedule for this insane 24 hour development cycle will be as follows:
12:45 pm: Free idea submission for ultimate accessory to accompany apple’s latest product begins
5:00 pm: Product ideas move into evaluation
7:00 pm: Product idea is selected and product naming begins
10:00 pm: Product name is selected, industrial design begins, logo design begins, and tagline project begins
12:00 am: Industrial design is complete
7:00 am: Tagline and logo design is complete
12:45 pm: Product goes live and available for pre-sale in quirky’s online store
