Skills required:
- A pro in photoshop
- Extensive experience with photo-retouching and compositing
- Strong knowledge of blending modes, curves adjustments, masks, etc
- Ability to composite 3d renders within a photographed scene.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Action oriented and detail oriented
- Good sense of responsibility and accountability
- Able to figure things out and make good decisions without much guidance
– knowledge of a 3d package/lighting is a plus but not required

RENDERER – FREELANCE
We are looking for a rendering super stars who can devote some of their freelance time to working at Quirky.
Skills required:
- A pro in Key Shot
- Experience rendering 3d models into photorealistic images
- Must have experience rendering in various materials including: glass, plastics, wood, ceramic, etc
- Prior experience rendering at a consumer products company is a plus
- Extensive experience with photo-retouching and compositing
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Action oriented and detail oriented
- Good sense of responsibility and accountability
- Able to figure things out and make good decisions without much guidance
– Able to work on tight deadlines

MID-LEVEL PHOTO & VIDEO STAR
You may have worked photo / video roles in the past, but are you a brand obsessed, action oriented individual ready to make the shift from your current job into irreverent ‘we’re gonna make invention accessible’ start-up culture? We sure hope so.
Your main responsibilities pertain to ensuring we have all the assets necessary to properly launch each product on quirky.com
This involves:
•Producing photos for product launches. This task requires the ability to set up a wide variety of seniors, and photograph them with the absence of a real product. You must be able to think ahead, and produce images that can seamlessly have a rendering of the product composited in.
•Producing videos for product launches. We want video that accompanies every launch, this is sometimes a basic product demo video, but can also come in the form of a design process video, or in some cases a commercial.
Skills required:
- A pro in photoshop; extensive experience with photo-retouching and compositing.
– Proficient with a DSLR platform for both photo and video work.
– Knowledgeable in lighting for photo and video.
– Familiar with studio operations.
– At a minimum, basic knowledge of video editing and Final Cut Pro.
– incredibly intelligent, energetic, and possess the ability to figure things out and make decisions without much guidance
– good with technology, numbers, dates, details, and deadlines

Other skills that are a plus but not required:
- Knowledge of Adobe After Effects
– Professional Audio
– Knowledge of any 3d package
