Harvest your herbs!: Introducing…Graze

Make herb-stripping snappy with Graze, your comprehensive tool for stripping, plucking, and pulling your favorite herbs off their stems. The tool is compact for easy and neat storage and is super simple to operate. Just open the upper arm, place the herbs through the combs, close it, and strip those herbs away. The secondary hinged arm is then used to pull off excess herbs that remain stuck in the comb. Voilà! Also, the teeth on the comb offer various degrees of separation to accommodate different herbs with varying stem widths.

Inventor Abdullah Al-Harbi loves to cook and herbs are key to many of his meals, so he came up with a brilliant solution to make adding herbs fast and easy. Familiar with feet?

Calling all podiatrists, medical mavens, and witch doctors! The Quirky Design staff is putting out a call to anyone and everyone with medical knowledge of one of our most used and abused body parts…feet. If you’re a podiatrist, orthopedic surgeon, physical therapist, and/or chiropractor and you possess knowledge of the anatomy and inner workings of human hooves, we want to hear from you. We’re seeking you folks to help us with a cutting-edge, new project; one that is a new frontier for Quirky. The product is a shoe insert made primarily of sand which essentially will provide support, and allow the full bottom of the foot to be in contact with the device to evenly distribute force. The potential benefits of this product are many and we want as much information, feedback, and knowledge from you all as we move forward with this exciting product.

Seams made simple! Introducing Seamster.

Seamstresses, sewers, and clothiers rejoice! We’re proud to introduce Seamster, a seam allowance marking tool used to transfer paper patterns to fabric. Transferring patterns is ordinarily a time-consuming and cumbersome process, but our seam allowance marker cuts this time in half by drawing two parallel lines onto the fabric at the same time. The pen slots are made of a soft, flexible grippy plastic which allows for different pen diameters. One pen stays firmly fixed in place while the other slides magnetically in a track to allow for multiple seam allowance measurements. With Seamster, crafting clothes and textiles is much less tedious and a lot more joyous.

Seamstress Teree LeSueur came up with a fresh idea to improve the functionality of a traditional sewing method. Teree along with the Quirky design staff and a crew of over 1,900 influencers made this product a real sewer’s dream. Make sure to head over to the Upcoming section and check it out!
