Hey Quirks!
It’s a crazy time here at Quirky HQ. We’ve got eight– count ‘em, 8! – products either in production, going into production, or just coming out of production. That’s a lot for a company our size… but we’re working it. Ben, Nikki, and Brian are in China meeting with manufacturers to push the production process along and solidify plans for our Hong Kong consolidation center. After this trip, we hope to be able to dive into production quicker, ship products earlier, and provide more frequent status updates. In the meantime, we ask for your continued patience!
Wanna see your favorite Quirky products at your local Best Buy? Then click over to Ideax, a new forum where users can comment and vote on ideas. Earlier this week, community member Mike McCoy started a thread called Carry Quirky Crowdsourced Community Designed Products. In just two days, our community managed to get this idea to the number two spot. Let’s spread the word and push it to the top!
This week, we also launched Cloak, our sleek, sexy, functional iPad case. We’re really pushing the social sales on this one, and we’ve put together a toolkit for promoting the item on social media sites. We're hoping to capitalize on iPad mania to make this a hit.

Yesterday, we sent e-mails to all Cordies buyers with a link to select color and confirm shipping and billing information. If all goes according to plan, which we’re confident it will, we’ll be able to ship the product by March 20.

This one’s almost ready to roll! Next week, we will send e-mails to all Scratch-n-Scroll buyers, with a link to confirm shipping and billing information. We should be able to ship the product by the end of March.

BEAMER
We just received the latest prototype for the Beamer and decided to rework a few features, including LED and fit. Ben posted a short video showing what we’d like to improve. Once we get these things fixed, it should be just a few weeks before we’re ready to ship.

USER OF THE WEEK
Sandra Lehr
Why she rocks: Sandra is a community all-star, without a doubt. An active forum poster and commenter, she usually posts up to 20 daily tweets promoting Quirky products, and she just informed us that she spent her own money posting ads for Cloak on more than 50 iPad-related Facebook groups and pages … in English, French, Spanish, and Italian! Somehow, she manages to find time outside of Quirky to feed her kids and walk her dogs too.
