Hey Quirks, we’re discussing three topics in Wednesday’s live brainstorm.
From 12:00 – (approx.) 1:15, the Quirky Community, will have the opportunity to participate in this week’s brainstorm through our Quirky Design Staff + Quirky Community Brainstorm Livestream channel on Ustream.
This week’s topics are:
1) Product 184: Double Handled Pitcher
2) Product 128: Silicone Eyewear
3) Product 169: No-Strain Teapot
To get the most community participation, we’re going to start it right here, in the comments of this blog post. Think about all of the different aspects that go into mindmapping, i.e. exploring all opportunities in terms of design, market, end user, user scenarios, modes/habits, current/future trends in products, materials etc. Start throwing out ideas and remember, this is a brainstorm so anything goes.

Consider how much physical effort it will take to work the pump. Should be simple, a simple press down and hot water comes out.

This are the ideas I have to make the products awesome and more likable for the customer.
Make sure the pitcher has a handle that is comfortable to hold and prevents the hand from being strained when it is held for a long time.
Make sure the eyewear will allow for eye care professionals to easily install lenses and that the nose pads are conforming to the persons nose.
Make sure the teapot looks beautiful on someones countertop, if they choose to leave it there.

could the upcoming brainstorm topics maybe be announced earlier perhaps put it on a 2 week notice. for example announce next weeks topic this week.
It is tough to do right now with work for most and brainstorming in a comment section just don’t move that fast. I wish I could attend more of the live sessions they are fun and productive just not convenient with work.
