Whether it’s a vacation, business trip or family visit, people usually have their minds on the destination instead of how they get there. The problem is that we all face some rough realities whether traveling by plane, train or automobile.
This week, let’s come together to make a product that streamlines the travel process.
Remember, there are lots of different ways to travel. Here are some things to think about as you brainstorm.
We’re open to it all, as long as it could realistically sell for less than $150 and doesn’t need integrated software. And remember, DMV (design potential, marketability and viability) factors heavily into our decision.
You can submit one idea for free in this round, and the deadline is Mon, May 30, at 12 noon ET. Got an idea that’ll get us flyin’ high? Submit now!

Shirley is a study in contrasts. Despite having been an early morning baby, she is quite staunchly an urban night owl. English is the essence of her life, even though she did not learn the language until several months into first grade. She loves technology but continues to write the old fashioned way with pen and paper, often sporting ink-stained hands to prove it. The key to these contrasts lies in Shirley’s love of learning. She graduated from Binghamton University with a B.A. in English and dove right into the world of writing and publishing. She has worked in supervisory roles at Penguin and Random House, and has been published in countless print and online publications, including the New York Post and Woman Around Town. Shirley views the world as an endless source of inspiration and is excited to interact with the inspiring denizens of the Quirky world as one of the resident Community Ambassadors.
