Why were you looking at having this made by high end baby stroller manufacturers? That certainly explains the high cost….

Wouldn’t it have made more sense to go to a manufacturer who manufactures these types of carts?

I’m glad that you’re looking at high end baby stroller manufacturers, as manufacturers of comparable carts are often of poor quality. That said, I want this item sooner rather than later as it would be incredibly useful around the house right now!
