Jess… are the questions already submitted and set? …or is there a method for submitting more questions in the run up, or during Ben’s live Q&A?

@Pete: We’re totally open to more questions — just post ‘em here!

Could you please provide a status update on the Go Caddy.

Thanks Jess! Well, here ya go… (pick and choose at will)
Ben,
Any update on the roll out of the ‘Groups feature’ offering a sharing of influence for collaborative Ideation?
…
Ben,
With the big push on the BedBath&Beyond / Back-to-School Challenge… Tell us why we need not worry at all about the coming design/engineering phases getting overly rushed and hurried.
…
Ben,
What’s the quirky process when it’s time to engineer a product? How does the Quirky design staff collaborate with professional manufacturing engineers along a products development pipeline? Have you filled the Senior MechEngineer position, btw?
…
Ben,
How do you handle the Chinese manufacturing side? …Are you using an Asian supply chain management company? …do you rely on a Chinese source agent for selective components? …or does the team out of the Hong Kong office manage things?
…
Ben,
As an add on to the Engineering question… I’ve read that successful Chinese product manufacturing demands good engineering consultation and collaboration for the initial production launch… Is that true or false? …is there a Quirky engineer there in HongKong?
…
Ben,
On a recent suggestion in Get Satisfaction… Would you and the design staff ever think it useful to offer a PRE-pre-sales community focus group of the FINAL design AND branding? (…a problem spotting session before the official marketing roll out and unveiling in the Quirky shop.)

Was the retail interest for Kosoku from HSN or BB&B?
I have had a lot of interest in Perch as far as people who would donate to its production, but otherwise, they say they love the product, but it is just a bit expensive. Would this ever be an option. There are many products that I believe in, but I do not want to order 20 of them.
Thanks!

Any plans to ‘upgrade’ Beamer to maybe have a front-facing light for FaceTime?
Ken Daniels | 02/24/2011 2:50 PM
Why are there no company created tear sheets for social selling?
Matt F | 02/24/2011 6:01 PM
Here are some questions:
(1) Can we get any sales data from the HSN event? If not, why not?
(2) At this point (with the increased pre-sale threshold numbers), do you really think anything can make it out of pre-sale WITHOUT a retailer commitment.
(3) To simply update the QC on product timelines, would you be willing to simply take and post a photo of the whiteboard next to the kitchen on a regular basis?
(4) can the video commenting feature be incorporated into the Forums and/or idea comments section?
