You know those rating scales next to each idea submission?
Yeah, those ones.
It’s about time you gave these little red buttons some major attention. Starting last round, community members are able to earn a small amount of influence by rating ideas. The more you rate, the more you earn! But please, do the ideators a favor and put some thought into your ratings, kay? They take your feedback very seriously.
Coming up next… comment influence! Stay tuned for an announcement.

Influence for ratings only happens in the Product Evaluation Round, right? Or, does it also happen in the other phases?

Hi Michael! Opportunities to Influence are actually quite plentiful:
* Submitting a winning product idea
* Submitting a winning idea in another phase of the product’s development, like a name, logo, industrial design, tagline, etc.
* Committing to a product in pre-sales
* Making insightful comments on ideas
* Voting for a winning product idea
* Voting for a winning idea in another phase of the product’s development
* Rating ideas
* Participating in a product research survey
Hope that helps!

So basically you are just further diluting the distribution of influence? Nobody wants that :/

@ M — or we could see it as sharing the wealth!
It’s actually a good way to get us to give more serious consideration to ALL the ideas, not just the three we like best. Quirky gets better info, and rewards us. Especially nice for those who find ourselves “betting wrong.” tI can’t tell you the number of times the “winner” was in my top ten — just not my top three!

Do you get influence for rating the winning idea, or do you have to rate all of them?

@Ann Marie: The more you rate, the more influence you earn.
