Happy Saturday Morning!
So- Our jobs just became a bit more difficult. There are over 40 great product ideas currently up for evaluation and we can only choose one. It seems almost impossible given the quality of this weeks ideas.

I took a read of all the submissions when I first moved the project into evaluation this morning and I have to say: I am completely overwhelmed. The ideas this week have so much potential.
Your jobs as community members has never been so important, your comments, ratings & votes should be as accurate as through as possible, as we are relying VERY heavily on you to help us pick what’s next.
It would be unfair to be any one person’s job to have to say “this is the one best idea” but I strongly believe that collectivley, we can get there.
Exciting stuff. One of these products is going to sell hundreds of thousands of units. Mark my words, this week’s product is pure potential.

It would help if quirky didn’t erase my votes. I just spent a better part of the morning voting a bunch of ideas, go to refresh the page, and alas! All my votes have disappeared.

That sucks to hear shawnee– can you please let us know a little bit more about what happened? Browser, etc? All 3 votes cast? Did ratings hold?

it would be great if you could give us categories for comments: materials, form, function, novel uses… something like that.

@nikki — seems i spoke too soon, maybe just a random temp quirk in my browser. the votes have reappeared, just as they once were.

I read last week and happened to paste this in my blog that “Current Constraints: submissions must be non-electronic consumer products that can be retailed under $150 US dollars.”
I see a lot of ideas that involve moving electrons.
What happens now? Caveat emptor?

Is it fair to say that the submissions on page 1 are getting a LOT more attention than those on page 2? Perhaps they should all appear on one page, long though it might be?

I would really like to see an account verification method, simple like Paypal has for their verified members.
And this week would be great to do it…i think.
Just my 2 cents.

hiya! just wondering if others are having some trouble with the site. a bunch of would-be influencers & voters have mentioned to me that they’ve had a tough time registering because the site never loads completely. i’ve also gotten stuck a number of times trying to participate in the comments.
it’s a great problem if it’s due to the traffic, but the experience is just unfun when it takes so long or we can’t join in the process as much as we’d like. hope it’s a temporary problem. i’d love to add more of my 2 cents.
cheers!
